is in a private home Victor Horta (1861-1947), which this great architect built in the years 1898-1901. The house consists of two connected two-story tenement houses. From the outside, it looks quite modest, with narrow balconies, a facade with soft lines.

The interior of the house is full of light. Decorative wrought iron bars, stained glass, sculptures, stylish furniture and paneling made of several types of wood complete the whole. Each detail was personally designed by Horta. The building is inscribed on the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List together with three other Brussels houses designed by Horta: Hotel Tassel (Rue Paul Emile Janson 6, from 1898 year), Hotel Solvay (Avenue Louise 224, from 1894 year) and Hotel van Eetvelde (Avenue Palmerston 4, from 1898 year). In the period of art. nouveau, in 1893-1905, Horta designed over 40 buildings.
