The most interesting monuments in the city include the Church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary, which was designed by Brussels architect Jean Pierre Cluysenaar. His consecration took place in 1874 a year. The town hall, built in 1862, also draws attention. Within the city limits are the ruins of Comtal Castle, formerly owned by Count Rochefort. Three kilometers from Rochefort is the Cistercian Abbey, where they brew one of the famous Trappist beers. The monastery buildings and the brewery premises are not open to tourists. It has six halls, the highest of which, about 60 meters underground, is called the Salle du Sabbat. To show its true size, the guide releases the balloon with the heated air, all to the accompaniment of music and a light show. A long, impressive descent between the rock blocks leads to the very bottom of the cave, called little sister cave of Han, located near the town of Han-sur-Lesse. Near the cave, carved by the River Lomme, there is a small Lorette chapel built in the 20s of the XVII century for the local countess.
