Royal Museum of the Armed Forces and of Military History
The museum was established on the occasion of organizing the International Exhibition in Brussels in 1910. Since 1923 year it has been located in the north wing of the Cinquantenaire Palace. The very rich collection includes military equipment from the early Middle Ages to the modern period. Particularly rich collections concern the period of Belgian independence struggles, the Brabant revolution, the Napoleonic campaign, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and World Wars I and II. Thematic exhibitions are also interesting, presenting, among others: aviation, artillery and chemical weapons. The elevator takes you to the roof of the palace, from where there is a wonderful panorama of Brussels and the surrounding area.
