Autoworld Museum - Automotive History
This unique museum is located in a spacious hall in the southern wing of the palace Cinquantenaire. It was opened in 1986. The collection, consisting of approximately 300 cars, is based on collections Gantois Ghislain Mahy (the whole is one of the largest in the world and has approximately 1000 cars). On 16000 m² the history of the automotive industry is presented.
Visitors can see the achievements of the Belgian pioneers of motoring, represented here by no longer existing brands Minerva whether Imperia, legendary American road cruisers, or the most popular European car brands. There is also a small exhibition dedicated to micro cars and prototypes of the future. The museum also presents an interesting collection of motorcycles.

Motorsport Treasures
In the motorsport section you can admire legends of racing and rallies. Here we enter the world of single-seater F1, GT and rally cars. Of the twenty cars presented here, most are replaced regularly. Thanks to this, collectors who have loaned their vehicles to Autoworld can still take part in rallies and races. Legendary exhibits are presented in original and dynamic settings (raised bend, old paddocks, Michael Vaillant zone).
In addition to the permanent collection, Autoworld also organizes temporary exhibitions, which are very popular among visitors. In Belgium, only Mahymobiles, the museum created by the Mahy family in the city Leuze-en-Hainaut, can compete with this great automotive museum.
Cinquantenaire - Autoworld headquarters
At Autoworld you not only admire the treasures of the world's automotive industry, but also discover an important monument of Belgian architecture. In 1880, to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of Belgium's independence, the decision was made to build the Cinquantenaire. Architect Gédéon Bordiau designed a monumental building with a triumphal arch and colonnades.
On the occasion of the 75 anniversary of Belgium's independence, the building was ceremonially opened by King Leopold II in 1905. After Bordiau's death, the work was supervised by the French architect Charles Girault, who changed the original design and built a triple arch. The building is surrounded by a park covering 30 hectares in the eastern part of the center of Brussels.
Today, Cinquantenaire is home to the Military Museum, the Museum of Art and History and Autoworld. Great museums with extremely rich collections presenting military, art and automotive history, visited by hundreds of thousands of visitors every year.
