Renovating Jehay Castle – preserving heritage for future generations
Since 2000, the castle has been undergoing a thorough renovation. This place delights not only with its architecture, but also with its history and atmosphere. It is one of the main attractions in the area. Equally interesting than the castle itself are its gardens. Both the Italian one — with linden tree alleys, full of copper sculptures and water features — as well as a vegetable garden — a recreated 19th-century garden, full of forgotten vegetables, edible flowers and fruit trees. It is an ideal place for a walk in a peaceful atmosphere surrounded by nature and beautiful architecture.
Due to renovations, the castle interior is not open to visitors. Only the gardens of the estate can be visited.
